Beautification & Landscaping
Cultivating Community Charm
The landscaping gardeners of the Peralta Hills Beautification Team work vigorously to maintain, preserve and enhance the natural allure of our neighborhood. Their expertise and efforts transform every corner of our community, from revitalizing neglected areas to nurturing our vibrant bougainvillea.
This team not only plants new trees, shrubs, and flowers but also carefully tends to the health of our existing greenery, ensuring our surroundings remain lush and inviting. They skillfully address environmental challenges, from the damage caused by unpredictable weather to the persistent push of the strong Santa Ana winds. Their proactive approach even extends to maintaining our community fences, contributing to both the resilience and aesthetic appeal of our neighborhood.
The members of Peralta Hills Improvement Association are to thank for the dues that fund our Beautification Team, ensuring that Peralta Hills remains as beautiful and welcoming as ever.
PLEASE NOTE: PHEIA landscapers service the city right of ways and do not have the authority to maintain private property. If you have a concern about overgrowth or potentially hazardous debris and are unsure of the responsible owner, please contact the City of Anaheim’s Code Enforcement. Annual Good Neighbor Award
Honoring Community Leadership and Service
In 2022, we established The Annual Good Neighbor Award in honor of the late, Sonia Jekums—a beloved Past President of Peralta Hills, who was a dedicated 44-year resident. This prestigious award recognizes a Peralta Hills Estate homeowner who exemplifies leadership in our community through acts of selfless service and active participation in neighborhood activities and events.
The recipient of this award is celebrated at the Annual Peralta Hills Gala, where they are formally recognized in the Gala program for their unwavering commitment to making our neighborhood a better place. We take pride in honoring those who go above and beyond in supporting our community’s well-being and spirit.
We are delighted to share that the inaugural award recipient was Patrick Mahoney. His exemplary contributions have set a high standard for neighborly kindness and leadership, inspiring us all to contribute to the continued vibrancy and unity of Peralta Hills.
Neighborhood Watch
A Legacy of Community Vigilance Since 1995
Since 1995, our Neighborhood Watch has been a cornerstone of safety in our community. Designed to identify and address any suspicious activity or individuals, our program works diligently to ensure that every resident feels secure in their own home.
Our dedicated members monitor the neighborhood and promptly report any unusual occurrences. To further deter potential thieves, we maintain a Neighborhood Watch vehicle that is strategically parked in our community, serving as a visible reminder that our neighborhood is actively safeguarded. We also have a community security camera system.
Sanctioned by the Anaheim Police Department, our Neighborhood Watch operates in close collaboration with local law enforcement.
Be vigilant:
Lock all doors and windows when leaving the house or going to bed.
Install locking devices or tract blocking devices on all doors and windows.
Install motion sensor lighting devices on home exterior covering the front, side and rear yards and driveways.
On Vacation: Contact the local post office to hold your mail.
Install timers for interior and exterior lights for during the night.
Make sure important and expensive personal items are secured somewhere safe.
Be Aware:
Know your neighbors and the vehicles they drive.
Look out for each other’s home.
Record license plate of suspicious vehicles.
We encourage neighbors to report suspicious activity or potentially threatening incidents to the Anaheim Police Department and follow up with our Neighborhood Watch team.
You can also request the Anaheim PD to provide “Extra Patrol” of the area in concern.
The Anaheim Police non-emergency line: 714-765-1900.
We are proud supporters of The Anaheim Police Department Foundation, underscoring our collective commitment to safety and community well-being.
Together, through vigilance and unity, we continue to make our neighborhood a safer place for everyone.
